2014 Season Is Over

Skeet Season Is Over

The 2014 Skeet Season in Virginia is officially over, with the last shoots of the season being this past weekend.  I hope everyone had fun this year, meeting up with old friends, perhaps making a few new ones, and above all, enjoying good food, good drinks, and good times at all the clubs you visited.  During the holiday season, I have a few improvements I’d like to make to the website, so keep coming back periodically to check on the progress.

While we’re all patiently waiting for the first shoots of the 2015 season to begin, like the Red Nose Open at Fairfax or the All Hands Open at Oceana in January, make sure you keep me posted of any happenings at your clubs.  If you’re planning fun shoots, holiday parties, or any events you’d like me to advertise here on the home page, just let me know the details so I can post an article for you and spread the word.  And don’t forget to keep sending me pictures and write-ups of items you’d like posted in the For Sale area.  See you next season!

2014 Season Comes To An End

With only a few weekends left in October, the 2014 skeet season is almost over.  There are only 5 more chances in October for you to get in more targets.  The upcoming shoots are:

17-19, Arrowhead, Elam Memorial Open (4 guns + doubles)
17-20, Airfield, Swamp Shooters Windup (4 guns)
     18, Kettlefoot, Kettlefoot Open #3 (12 & 20)
     24-28, Oceana, Haines-Morris Memorial (any 2 guns + doubles)
25-26, Piedmont, Closed Club Shoot (4 guns + doubles)

I apologize for not posting any updates lately, Ive been extremely busy putting my current house in Stafford on the market and getting ready to move to Locust Grove, out Rt 3 West from Fredericksburg.  Only 4 more days till closing on the new house, then its time to pack.  Now if I could just remember where I put my ear plugs  :)
